Hidden Gem Hotels at Disneyland

June 16, 2025

Looking for some good hotel options for your trip to Anaheim?

I have some hidden gems for you today.

Let’s take a look!

Who to Book These Hotels with for the Best Rates

For so many reasons, I recommend Get Away Today.

Park reservations, crowd calendars, dining reservations, MagicBand+, changes since Covid, etc etc all require a decent amount of familiarity to get it right.

I can help you with many parts of planning, but I recommend booking your trip with an experienced agent who can handle some of these things for you and advise on all of them.

Check out my travel partner, Get Away Today. In business since 1990, they’re the absolute best with both pricing and service. Use code DDaily to save an additional $10 if you book both tickets and hotel.

Tropicana

My favorite on Harbor Blvd! This hotel is super close to the main gate. It’s clean, affordable, and I have a consistently good experience each time I stay.

And it’s literally across the street from the Disneyland entrance.

The Viv

The Viv feels like an upscale experience at a budget rate. If you don’t mind the quick shuttle to the parks, I encourage you to check this one out.

The rooftop bar and restaurant are fabulous, there’s an adults only pool on the same floor, and the overall vibe feels exciting and more luxurious than the usual good neighbor hotel, but at a lower price. This property often has free 3rd or 4th nights too!

Stovall’s Inn

Tucked away near the corner of Katella and Disneyland Drive, this is my choice if I want a close hotel with free breakfast.

This is a Best Western property and run by the nicest people. I love their convenient grab and go options at breakfast that I often take to snack on in line if I can’t eat on site like string cheese, whole fruit and more. The gardens are adorable. And you can watch fireworks from the second floor!

  1. I used your link to book with Get Away Today for the first time; we’re splurging on a once-in-a-lifetime stay at the Grand Californian later this year. I cannot thank you enough for the valuable information you provide so we can have a great trip every time we visit Disneyland.
