For a million reasons!
I’ve been writing about theme parks for many years and the one tip I love to share the most is to pack ziploc bags with you each day.
You’ll use them often once you see how helpful they are.
Food Related
- Storing leftovers – Use them to store food from the park to eat later in the park or in your hotel room.
- Packing snacks – Along with any leftovers you might have at a counter service or snack kiosk, grab something from your plate at a buffet or table service restaurant for later. For example, I used to take a couple of Mickey shaped waffles from a character meal for my kids to eat in their strollers later.
- Transporting Popcorn – No one loves Disneyland popcorn more than me, but I usually only eat 1/2 the box at a time. And I hate carrying that cardboard box around! But, if I use the sealed ziploc, I can carry the rest of it in my bag easily.
- Leftover Candy- Somehow my kids always seemed to acquire one of those enormous lollipops and you know they never finished it! A ziploc works here too.
- Hotel Room Pizza – Ordering pizza to your room? That huge box won’t fit in your tiny fridge. But a ziploc bag will! (Order Marri’s in Anaheim for the best pizza in town)
Other Ways You’ll Use Them
- Wet towels – On rainy days, I highly recommend taking a towel or two from your hotel room to wipe down wet benches and seats around the park. Store them when they’re wet in a ziploc so your park bag doesn’t get wet.
- Ponchos – Store wet ponchos in ziplocs. (Here are my favorites if you’re buying ahead of time.)
- Wet clothes – Tiana’s Bayou might surprise you! If you have wet socks or other pieces you can remove, you’ll have a safe place to store them.
- Phone cover – Going on a water ride? Quickly secure your phone or other tech with a ziploc bag.
