Breakfast in Downtown Disney

Updated April 8, 2026

Downtown Disney has several breakfast options, but you need to know where to go.

Below, I’ve shared the best for both quick and longer meals along with when they open.

Looking for breakfast in the park? This post includes everything for Disneyland and this one for DCA.

Now let’s focus on Downtown Disney. I’m hungry.

Best Breakfast Burritos

The Disneyland Resort has some excellent options for breakfast burritos.

Find all of your options – with the top 3 ranked – in this post.

Quick Service Options

  • Starbucks – Familiar and easy, find this location centrally located. (Opens at 7am)
  • Jamba – One of my kids’ favorites, an açaí bowl or smoothie always makes sense. (Opens between 7 and 8am)
  • Craftsman Grill at the Grand Californian Hotel – The quick service option located behind the restaurant (used to be White Water Snacks) has good options but they’re a bit pricey. Find kids’ Mickey Waffles here, though, for only $10! Here’s a video. (Opens earlier than 7:00am each – check the website to confirm)
  • Tangaroa Terrace – This quick service option at the Disneyland Hotel is so good. Love the Loco Moco Burrito. Tried the K?lua-style Pork Breakfast Croissant Sandwich recently and it was good too! Don’t miss their $9.25 enough-to-share cinnamon roll. It’s fantastic!
  • Tiendita – This place is fantastic! I love the carne asada burrito. Grab a bite to eat and head to the stage area at the west end of Downtown Disney to dine. (Opens at 8am)
  • Wetzel’s Pretzels – I had the Maple Sausage Bites recently and they were delicious!
  • Earl of Sandwich – Familiar and affordable, find locations at the west end (small food truck type set up) and eventually back at the east side in 2026
  • Beignets Expressed – The best beignets at the Disneyland Resort! Find coffee here, too. (Opens at 9am)
  • California Churro – If you’re hungry for a churro outside of Disneyland, grab one from this kiosk in Downtown. Here’s more. (Opens at 9am)

Table Service Recommendations

  • Naples Ristorante – Now serving breakfast from 8am-11am. Check out the Banana French Toast and Spinach and Tomato Frittata here.
  • Paseo – This Michelin star chef never disappoints. Check out what my dinner experience was like here. (Opens at 9am for breakfast weekends only; reservations recommended)
  • Storytellers Cafe – This is a character meal located inside the Grand Californian Hotel. Here’s the scoop on character meals. (Opens at 7am; reservations recommended)
  • Goofy’s Kitchen – This is a character meal located inside the Disneyland Hotel. It’s not my favorite but many love it. I share more about character meals along with why I don’t love this one here. (Opens at 7am; reservations recommended)

Rope Drop Recommendations

There are only a few options that work with rope drop. Those include:

  • Starbucks – 7am
  • Jamba – 7am
  • Craftsman Grill – ranges from 6-6:45am
  • Tangaroa Terrace – opens most days at 7am

I always recommend arriving an hour early for your Disneyland day. For an 8am opening, arrive at 7am. Get through security and then have someone in your group set up at the gate, in line. You’ll likely be let in at 7:30am, as guests are each day.

While you’re waiting, have someone grab food from one of the options above. Then, hit the parks with your strategy in hand to avoid waiting more than 20 minutes for nearly every ride. Here’s how to do that.

Craftsman Grill

This location deserves its own section!

Find this quick service option that includes mobile ordering and Magic Key discounts in the back of the Grand Californian Hotel. It’s just beyond the restaurant with the same name. Walk through the lobby, past Storytellers, past Napa Rose and past the entrance to DCA and you’ll run into it.

Craftsman Grill opens the earliest – usually at 6:45am, but I’ve seen it as early as 6:00am. It includes the best food and it’s served on actual plates. And they have great service!

Some recent bites include:

  • Breakfast Burrito – best I’ve had at the Disneyland Resort; video here
  • Kids’ Mickey shaped waffles – video here
  • American Breakfast – hearty portions, enough to share; video here
  • Waffle of the Month for July 2025 – Waffle Cristo; video here
