I’m in the park about once a week and almost always have breakfast while I’m there.
And I’ve found all the best options! This post covers those for Disneyland. And this one shares your options at California Adventure.
Let’s discuss.

Quick Service Recommendations
Grab one of these items, below, while working through your morning strategy at Disneyland:
- The Breakfast Chimichanga at the Ship to Shore Marketplace stand near the Mark Twain is a favorite and usually sells out by 9am. After that, the veggie option remains and it’s good, but I recommend the original. Buy the additional tomatillo sauce! It’s worth it.
- The Breakfast Burrito at Galactic Grill in Tomorrowland is delicious. Check it out here. They have a good bagel sandwich, too. Find that here. The Soy Breakfast Burrito is good! Check out a video of it here. All breakfast burritos are rated here.
- The best value in the park right now is the Chicken and Waffles at Galactic Grill! $14.49 for 2 chicken strips with Cane’s-like sauce and 2 waffles topped with fresh fruit. Recommend!
- Galactic Grill has baby pancakes now! Check them out here.
- Lots of people are loving the Waffle Cristo from Royal Street Veranda. Try the snack size Monte Cristo too! It’s a great value.
- If you’re looking for traditional breakfast plates, including the only place to get a Mickey Mouse pancake at Disneyland, Red Rose Taverne in Fantasyland is it. But, it doesn’t open until 9am. This is the classic plate I love called the Bonjour Breakfast. You can get French Toast and Eggs, too. Here’s the Pain Perdu Platter. And here’s the Maple French Toast Sandwich. I tried the Breakfast Fantasyland Faire Fold recently. Check that out here. This is my favorite spot for breakfast. The patio is gorgeous and Fantasyland is filled with characters in the morning. Check out where Mad Hatter dined next to me one morning here. Alice was there, too!
- The new Bengal Barbecue bowl is excellent. (This one is on hiatus – hope it comes back)
- Can’t go wrong with the Ronto Morning Wrap at Ronto Roasters in Galaxy’s Edge!
- Jolly Holiday, in the middle of the park, has delicious egg croissant sandwiches. Here’s the fan favorite, Bacon & Egg Croissant. Don’t forget the Matterhorn Macaroon! Grab one for later in the day while you’re there. I recently tried the Cinnamon Roll, too. Don’t miss the Strawberry-stuffed Croissant!
- Maurice’s Treats snack wagon near the castle has a delicious Ham and Cheese Croissant. Also, the new Breakfast Cheesy Pretzel is sinful goodness. They open at 8am. The Blueberry Cream Cheese Danish is tasty!
- Craving a baked potato? Troubadour Tavern opens at 9am! Check them out here.
- When all else fails, try the Market House on Main Street, which is the Starbucks in the park.

Table Service Recommendations
I don’t typically recommend a sit down breakfast in the park because it’s ideal to get rides done during this time. But, if you plan for around 10:00am, you can still use the first couple of hours to get a lot of attractions in.
- Minnie’s Breakfast in the Park at Plaza Inn is my favorite character meal at the Disneyland Resort. And I never have an issue with walk up dining here. Try it if your budget allows. This post goes into lots of detail.
- Carnation Cafe offers classic American fare and never disappoints. Dine on Main Street at this park classic. This reel features the breakfast skillet and Mickey waffle.
- River Belle Terrace in Frontierland doesn’t open until 10:00am, but offers “brunch” with more lunch-like options.

Best Breakfast Burritos
The Disneyland Resort has some excellent options for breakfast burritos. Find all of your options inside Disneyland and out – with the top 3 ranked – in this post.
