Spring at Disneyland – Eggstravaganza and more!

Updated April 3, 2026

Spring time at Disneyland varies a bit each year.

But, by late February, the parks start to come alive with color.

Let’s take a look at what you can expect during Spring at the Disneyland Resort.

Basic Scoop

“Spring” at Disneyland isn’t an official season like Halloween Time or Holidays. As we move closer to Easter, Eggstravaganza arrives, but before and after it is somewhat of a grey area. (More about Eggstravaganza below.)

By late February, most ‘water ride’ attractions are finished with their annual refurbishments that are typically scheduled for the coldest months of the year, January and February. Everything from the Holiday season is removed from the resort. Haunted Mansion and “it’s a small world” are returned to their classic versions by Spring.

Flowers are blooming, ducklings are hatching and toddling through the park, and the weather is typically just right. I love Spring at Disneyland. It’s always such a refreshing thing to see after the colder months of January and February.

DCA Food & Wine Festival

Look for the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival to kick off early March.

Find everything you need to know about it in this post.

Crowd Calendar

Be sure to check my crowd calendar to see what days you should avoid during the spring.

There are many grad nites, after hours events and holidays to work around.

How to Dress for Spring in Anaheim

Temperatures are unpredictable, but usually fall between 50 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit during March and April.

Mornings and nights will likely be cool or even cold. Be sure to dress appropriately so you’re not forced to buy a $60 hoodie on impulse. (I mean, that’s fun, too, but if you’re trying to stay on budget, it’s not ideal.)

This post shows you more about what to wear, how to layer, what to pack and more.

Rain at the Parks

We don’t get a lot of rain here in SoCal, but when it shows up, it is impactful.

Check out this post for how rain affects rides and entertainment along with how to be prepared for it.

Eggstravaganza

Eggstravaganza is an Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Disney each year during Spring.

Here’s all about it.

Don’t miss this fun tradition!

Easter Bunny

Find him in Town Square the week before Easter. He often arrives on Palm Sunday.

Entertainment

January and February’s Entertainment options aren’t always consistent, but by March, we typically know what’s ahead for the next several months.

Check out these posts for what your options are:

  1. Thanks for the Spring info! We’re normally Feb visitors but are doing end of March this year and looking forward to some new fun. We will try Magic Bands+ for the first time since looking to optimize phone batteries and teen independence. Any tips? We’ve never done WDW do not have that experience with which to compare.

  2. We’ve never been using spring (beginning of April) what the heck do we ack jeans or shorts sweaters heavy jackets light jackets rain gear swim wear?
