Disneyland’s 70th Birthday Celebration Guide

Updated February 6, 2026

The 70th Celebration at Disneyland is here and it’s big!

I had just started writing about Disney parks when the 60th arrived. I was so thrilled to see all that it included. The little touches – and FANTASTIC ENTERTAINMENT – made a regular park day feel a little more special.

Let’s take a look at what the 70th has in store for use.

First, a few key links:

The Scoop

The 70th celebration started May 16, 2025! Everything listed in this post is open to all guests who visit the Disneyland Resort. This celebration is expected to last through summer of 2026. I’ll keep you updated with an official end date once it’s available.

The parks and Disneyland Resort Hotels are all preparing right now for this big celebration. There will be decor throughout both parks, all resorts and Downtown Disney. It’s a really special time.

Look for the following:

  • 70th attire can be found on Disney characters (the outfits are darling!)
  • A new theme song called “Celebrate Happy” will be shared.
  • Paint the Night parade returns!!!!!!! Fan favorite since it debuted in 2015 for Disneyland’s 60th anniversary, everyone is so thrilled to have it back. Tinker Bell has a new outfit so don’t miss that! Catch the best parade ever at Disneyland at 8:45pm and 10:45pm each night. Here’s where to sit and how to set up.
  • Wondrous Journeys (the best fireworks show!) will run throughout the celebration. This show pays homage to 60 important films in Disney history. Some nights will include projections only and some will include projections and pyrotechnics (fireworks). Both versions are great! Look for this show at 9:30pm each evening.
  • “World of Color Happiness” debuted. This show, the 7th full length version of World of Color since it started, includes interactive voting in the Disneyland app that allows you to choose which Pixar character you’ll see throughout. It shows at 9:00pm and 10:15pm each night. Here’s a peek at the show.
  • “Tapestry of Happiness”, a new “it’s a small world” nighttime overlay show inspired by Mary Blair will also debut. The show will last 5 minutes and run during the following times: Monday – Thursday at 9:50pm and 10:20pm. Friday – Sunday at 9:50pm, 10:20pm, 11:30pm and 11:45pm.
  • “Celebrate Happy” Cavalcade will run through Disneyland Park. Duffy and ShellyMae will be there! This cavalcade runs twice a day at 1:30pm and 2:45pm from “it’s a small world” to Town Square (first show, second one is reversed). Check out a full of this video mini-parade here. (This cavalcade paused August 11, 2025. I’ll update this post if it returns.)
  • Toy Story Midway Mania and “it’s a small world” will include 70th inspired themes. This video shows you what you can expect.
  • Cathay Circle, at DCA, will include a 2 minute moment of magic that features Tinker Bell throughout the evening on the restaurant exterior. This new projection show is called Celebrate Happy – A Little Touch of Magic. Find a full length video of this show here.
  • Better Together Parade runs through DCA at 2:30pm and 5:00pm each day. (This parade is paused for now. I’ll update this post if it starts again.)
  • MagicBand+ will unlock 5 new fun features around Disneyland, with nods to opening day. This is so cute! Find all about it here.
  • A Story of Celebration: New 70th Anniversary Guided Tour, a two-hour add-on experience that explores the heritage of Disneyland.
  • Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! debuted at the start of the 70th and it’s so much fun! Catch a video of it here with more info. It runs each day at 10:15am, 11:15am, 12:15pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm and 4:00pm. Check out a video of what you can expect at this link.
