Character autographs are fun, but where do they go when we get home?
Here’s a way to showcase them during the holidays each year.
Let’s dive in!

Basic Scoop
Disney characters make every trip more exciting and Disneyland excels in these special interactions.
Before a recent character meal at Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel, I packed a little bag with all the essentials for ornament autographs. I spray painted the wooden ornaments on both sides and attached the strings included.
And off I went! I was so pleased with how these turned out.
A few tips:
- Ask the character if they can sign the ornament for you. I’ve never had one turn me down, but it is a tricky signature for them, so I always think it’s nice to ask. If they said no, no problem.
- Have the cap off the pen and lay the ornament on the table for your character. They’ll take it from there.

Supplies
I found the ornaments online here and then painted them with spray paint.
The big Sharpie is the most important part. These are the easiest option for characters to use when they’re signing with gloves. The “Chisel” version is ideal.
