Moderate Resorts are a really good option for lodging at Walt Disney World for a number of reasons.
We have four to choose from at WDW including:
- Caribbean Beach Resort
- Port Orleans Riverside
- Port Orleans French Quarter
- Coronado Springs
Let’s take a closer look.
Who to Book Your Trip With
I recommend booking Get Away Today.
Park reservations, crowd calendars, dining reservations, MagicBand+, changes since Covid, Disney Genie, etc etc all require a decent amount of familiarity to get it right.
I can help you with many parts of planning, but I recommend booking your trip with an experienced agent who can handle some of these things for you and advise on all of them. Commission is built into every Disney package purchased, regardless of who you book with. So, you do not pay a penny more than if you book with Disney directly.
Click here to get started with the only agency I recommend! Consider them for Disneyland, WDW, Disney Cruise Line and more.
Basic Scoop
Disney properties include 3 tiers:
- Deluxe
- Moderate
- Value
Moderates essentially include all that Disney Value Resorts do but have more elaborate pools with water slides, better dining and bars, higher end features in the rooms, etc.
I really like Moderates.

Caribbean Beach
Caribbean Beach is a gorgeous resort with a tropical theming. It is the only moderate resort on the Disney Skyliner route.
Here’s all you need to know about this resort.

Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter
Port Orleans Resorts are themed beautifully as well and offer a peek into life in South Louisiana, which I’m a big fan of!
This post has all you need to know about Port Orleans.

Coronado Springs
Coronado Springs boasts a huge new tower with rooftop dining and drinking complete with amazing views as well as an awesome pool.
Find details about Coronado Springs here.
