Coronado Springs Resort is a sneaky resort. It’s charm and beauty will surprise you!
I like this resort for many reasons and come to it often during my trips, regardless of where I’m staying.
Let’s take a look at what it’s all about.
Who to Book Your Trip With
Park reservations, crowd calendars, dining reservations, MagicBand+, changes since Covid, Disney Genie, etc etc all require a decent amount of familiarity to get it right.
I can help you with many parts of planning, but I recommend booking your trip with an experienced agent who can handle some of these things for you and advise on all of them. Commission is built into every Disney package purchased, regardless of who you book with. So, you do not pay a penny more than if you book with Disney directly.
I recommend booking with Get Away Today for the best rates and service! Find them here.
Basic Scoop
Disney properties include 3 tiers:
- Deluxe
- Moderate
- Value
Coronado Springs is a Moderate Resort.
Moderates are great properties because they often have a high end feel but for less than the price tag that comes with a Deluxe resort.

Resort Details
This resort includes essentially two parts – the Gran Destino Tower and then the other areas behind it.
I almost always stay in the Ranchos section, which I love! So if the tower isn’t in your budget, no worries.
There’s a lake in the middle with an awesome restaurant. The tower includes good dining as well.
This resort is HUGE, however. So if you’re looking for something small and quaint, this isn’t it.
This resort feels like a Deluxe in many ways to me. If it had a Skyliner or Monorail quality travel option? I would be fully in love.
Dining
This resort boasts fantastic dining I return to even when I’m not staying at the hotel.
I recommend Dahlia the most. This is the rooftop lounge that includes photos featuring Walt Disney and Salvador Dali. It’s fabulous.
Look for Three Bridges, the restaurant in the middle of the lake. Good food and drinks. Great bartenders.
Toledo, the rooftop restaurant is good. I like their small plates and charcuterie but that’s 70% of my diet while at WDW, so I’m not a food critic by any means.
Room Details
The rooms are fabulous.
Love the sliding barn doors, ceiling fan, and bathroom design.
Gran Destino Tower rooms are even fancier!

Pools
Coronado has one huge pool with awesome theming and an awesome water slide! It’s called The Lost City of Cibola.
The theming here is excellent.
Three smaller pools are on on site too.
Transportation
Unfortunately this resort only offers the Disney Bus System.
It’s great, but I really like to have another option like the Disney Monorail or Disney Skyliner.
