Historic Green Caboose on the Disneyland Railroad

Such a fun way to ride!

I recently enjoyed a trip around the park in the Historic Green Caboose on the Disneyland Railroad.

Have you done it?

Let’s take a look at all the details.

Before We Get Started

If you’re planning a Disneyland trip, start with this post. It covers everything you need to know.

Where to Find It and Details

It isn’t always easy! When it’s running, find it at the back of one of the trains – usually in the morning.

Per a little research on the internet, it seems this caboose is from the original train set of 1955.

If you see it on the track, ask a cast member if guests can ride. Or, just try the door! You’ll likely get a private trip around the park. But, beware – it does get warm and the windows don’t fully open. It will heat up quickly, which is likely why we don’t see this caboose running constantly. The Lilly Belle is similar.

This experience is open to all guests. This is different from the Lilly Belle, which can only be accessed via a private tour.

And this one shows you where to find the train tracker – something most guests miss. (You can actually track all the trains running at Disneyland at any time.)
