Why You Should Use a Travel Agent for Your Disneyland Trip

Updated January 9, 2017

Disneyland trip planning can be a lot of fun for many people. Using my 6 Step Planning Process makes it less stressful.

For some, however, piecing it all together isn’t fun. That’s when a travel agent comes in. And, while travel agents are not as needed as they once were for travel, I do recommend using one for your Disney vacation because there is simply so much to know.

If you are not interested in doing the work yourself, allow a Disney-trained agent to do it for you. Let’s see exactly what they can do:

What a Disney-Centric Agent Can Do

*Handle all of the small details including:

  • Help with flights and ground transfers
  • Hotels – both Disneyland Resort Hotels and Good Neighbor (off-site) Hotels
  • Excursions all over Southern California
  • Dining Reservations – no panic at the 60 day mark!
  • Other Reservations – Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, tours and more
  • Stroller Rentals
  • Theme Park Tickets

*Get you the best price possible. Disney agents become aware of all new discounts and will adjust your trip total if a discount comes in between booking and traveling.

*Offer help with frustrating situations like lost luggage or other glitches in your trip. Consider them your travel concierge.

*Recommend dining and other reservations within the parks. A well-trained agent will know the parks and be able to offer you help as needed.

Your Cost and Turnaround Time

What does hiring an agent cost you? Absolutely nothing. Disney pays commission to the agency, but at no cost to you. And, again, hiring an agent could actually save you money if a discount is added before you travel. Without using an agent, you may not be aware of these discounts.

If you submit a quote request through the agency affiliated with my website, you can expect an estimate within 24 hours.

My Recommendation

Finding a Disney-Centric agency might be the hardest part of your planning process. There are many out there, but at varying levels of expertise and experience. Absolutely find someone who genuinely knows the parks, has spent time in all of them and can advise you as you deserve. Find someone who LOVES Disney.

Key to the World Travel, an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner, works with me and is the best qualified to take care of your reservation. I recommend submitting a quote request at no charge to see what they can do for you.
