Valentine’s Dinner at Catal Restaurant in Downtown Disney

Updated March 6, 2020

I’m a big fan of the Patina Group, which manages three lovely restaurants in Downtown Disney. Catal is my favorite of the three, but Naples Ristorante and Tortilla Jo’s are excellent as well.

I share all about Catal’s Breakfast with Santa each year after discovering it in 2016. Find more on that event in this post, which will be updated as information rolls out for booking this 2018 holiday season. Reservations open during the summer time, typically, so stay tuned for details.

To get info on Breakfast with Santa and other events, as well as lots of Disneyland planning tips, be sure you subscribe to my email list. It takes just a second to sign up and the link for that can be found on any page on my website.

This year, Catal is hosting a Valentine’s Dinner with a 3 course meal designed by Chef Alfonso Ramirez. Take a look, below, for what you can expect, including a link to book. These events always sell out quickly, so grab a reservation now if you’re interested.

Basic Info

Here’s the scoop!

Event: Valentine’s Dinner at Catal Restaurant

Date: Wednesday, February 14, 2018

Time: Reservations available from 4:00pm-9:00pm

Location: Downtown Disney

Cost: $85 a person; Kids have no cost to attend and may order off the kid’s menu

Link to book: Valentine’s Dinner

The full menu can be found at this link. Guests attending this special event will choose from a 3 course menu created for this evening only including a starter, an entree and dessert.

Filet Mignon, Maine Lobster Pappardelle, and Rack of Lamb are just a few of the entree options.

The starters look just as good as the entrees. (Manchego Cheese Salad! I could live on Manchego alone, for the rest of my life. Almost positive about that.)

Dessert options include Chocolate Mousse Cake and Strawberry Panna Cotta.

The $85 cost includes one selection from each option on the menu.

This is a one night only event, so I haven’t had the chance to enjoy all of these dishes. Catal provided me with the photos below.

Everything looks delicious.

Although I haven’t dined with this exact menu, I have no problem recommending this event based on every experience I’ve had at this restaurant. I pretty much have the Happy Hour Menu memorized (literally have tried every dish available) and have enjoyed many meals here over the years.

The ambiance is lovely, the service is fantastic and the food is divine. Catal has an upscale, sophisticated menu with something for everyone. I love this place because you get a fine dining experience without the intimidation most high end restaurants come with.

A few specifics for this event:

  • Specialty Hand Crafted Holiday Cocktails will be available for purchase.
  • There is a Champagne Special, too, that is available. With the purchase of a bottle of Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Reserve ($60), guests will take home two champagne flutes with a Catal heart wine charm.
  • Romantic music will play as you dine.
  • The restaurant will be decked out in Valentine flowers.

Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll do my best to provide answers from Catal. Enjoy!
